Something wrong here... this week is seriously dragging. Seriously!
JP came home like crazy early. He was there by 5:20 which never happens, but since this is a weird week he was able to slip away early. Of course I'm smack in the middle of my "relax w/ tv hour" before my workout and watching an episode from Season 4 of Lost.
JP is totally lost *heehee* as to what's going on. He doesn't like serial programs (except for Sons of Anarchy - he thought the lead guy would become a good guy for some reason) so he's only watched a handful of episodes. Season 4 is not the season to try and jump in with the jumps to the future.
But yeah I'm nearly finished so I'll just wait now for season 5 to come out, hopefully before the final season starts. Gotta love Netflixs.
Got to watch Warehouse 13, and it's silly scifi... not Eureka silly (love me some Sherrif Carter) but still silly. And I quickly fell asleep afterwards. Still tired today.
I'm going to chalk it up to the second phase of medication... maybe I'll get used to it like I did the shots.

Very sleepy... very...
Wow, am I crazy sleepy this morning. Smudge did wake me up twice last night/this morning. Once at 1:45 am and then again some time after 3.
Nothing exciting from yesterday. Just the continued whispering about Thursday's meeting. The big boss lady is gone on vacation until then, she's cutting it short to be back for it. Probably not a good sign.
We're heading for Florida later in the week. Cooler temps there & rain so I'm kinda looking forward to that.
So I'm expecting a quiet and slow day with a nap under my desk at noon.

Back in the office... but for how long.
While I was out, I believe it was Thursday... an email from our Big Boss went out that on Thursday we are to have a meeting with the VP. This guy has been VP since the spring I believe and never showed any interest in the department.
See, there was a bit of a shake up and for a while after we were divided away from the engineers (it's nice to report to engineers 'cause they don't know what we do and leave us be) we were then moved to report to an Accounting VP which sucks to high heaven and we all knew there would be problems.
Well, that particular VP up and left the end of last year, so we were shifted again with the accounting world to this other guy who no one in the supervisor positions had much info about. Scary.
So yeah, now the accounting VPs never include (I'm assuming they have them) us in the quarterly meetings. Thursday we're supposed to all meet with him in the conference room at some crazy early hour of the morning if this truly is a meet and greet.
I might be a lady of leisure sooner than expected.

Day Two...
Again skip it if you don't want to know like the personal stuff...
Second day of the IUI and of course I had the hot Persian Doc. Sheesh! Oh well, he's being shadowed by this lady doctor who I guess is new so whatever... sure let another stranger in to scope out my business...
*sigh*
My back isn't hurting today so that's good. It's more of a traditional cramping in the front sensation. Nice. We were also told to give it a go on our own tonight too. Nice being given those sorts of instructions by the doctor... he was being so polite, "We would ask that if possible..."
So I got out about an hour earlier than yesterday and stopped at Dillard's on my way out. I'm more than a bit swollen so I don't know who my dress for the wedding is going to fit, so I bought a back up today. It's a pretty BCBG dress in like that ice blue with a dark navy sash type dealie. I will have to hollywood tap the bodice just so I feel comfortable nothing will be exposed.
Came home and I've been relaxing and starting laundry. I plan on sleeping in tomorrow and then we'll head to the hotel after 3. We're supposed to meet up with Frank & Marion for like an hour before the wedding. I'm gonna be the lone sober girl in a field of drunk Newfoundlanders & East Texas... um yeah...
Oh well, my timing as always is way off.
so sleepy... I do believe I will take a nap after this load.

Hot water bottles are awesome..
The following is very TMI... so if you don't really know me you might not want to read it... not that I get graphic or anything.
So this morning was the first IUI attempt. JP and I got to the clinic at crazy early o'clock but for some odd reason they didn't take JP back until 8:15... nice how that tends to work. He started whinging and yes I had to tell him to shut it... this is what it's going to take. I mean I've been "inconvienenced" for two solid weeks, he can deal with a morning.
I had to sit and wait for like two hours while they prepped JP's... um... donation. Once I was back in the office, it was less that 5 minutes for the procedure. Imagine a difficult pap smear and that's really all it was. With an additional 15 minutes of just laying down afterwards.
I got out of the clinic just before 11 am. Yeah... not so guilty feeling about not going in now. Plus, I'm chalking it up to the HCG shot last night, my lower back is all grippy. It's not cramps per se... but it's like how I felt after the x-ray. I'm not used to menstrual cramps so that's probably part of all of these hormones and stuff I've been injecting.
Fun!
I will say, the shot I was so afraid of... the one JP had to give me wasn't so bad. It's a crazy sharp needle and I didn't even feel it go in. JP got in one shot and I'm so grateful for that. The medication did that icky spreading warmth thing and I woke up with minor muscle soreness and other things are tender and bloated.
So after I left the clinic I made a quick stop for the girls. Needed food and litter and then I stopped for a quick bite to eat. By the time I got home the ookie feeling in my lower back was worse so since I got home I've been reclining on a hot water bottle.
I have a very old school made in England water bottle. It's got this nice flannel to cover the rubber and it's just nice to snuggle up against. To keep myself entertained I've been watching the extras for SEason 3 of Lost and I'm just starting season 4... of course the lawn guys have shown up and I keep having to crank the volume... oh woe is me. Ha!
Cramping hasn't subsided but I'm hoping by tonight it will. We're back at the clinic at 7:30 if we go in together. Might as well... i'm nearly finished my book, My Best Friends Girl. Pretty good for chick lit... I don't remember who gave it to me, it might have been my cousin... or maybe Olga. d'oh.

It's been awhile...
Lots has happened but I haven't had it in me to write about any of it.
Holiday weekend went to quickly. Probably because I couldn't sleep in the first two days due to early morning doctor appointments. I'm slowly turning into a pin cushion.
I had to go again yesterday morning for bloodwork etc. And of course it was the hot Persian doctor who saw me, not the ususal physican assistant. I kind of hope he doesn't do the main procedure as he trys to joke with you to put you at ease, and I'm not really down with that because what do you say back?
Work is work. It was very quiet all of last week and slowly picking up this week.
Oh one exciting thing from last week. Rosslyn has started my portrait. She's the artist wife of JP's former boss. She works in various medium from making silver jewlery to sculpture to portaits in oil or pastels. It was a bit odd because it is so focused on "you" obvs but just to have some one scrutinize you that way. She kept talking me through it so I would know what she was doing.
The first day we just discussed poses and styles. Followed by a mini-photo shoot and a quick life sketch. On Saturday we saw a few of the photos and JP picked the one he wanted as the portrait. Rosslyn will do the portait in the style of Sargent, so a nice soft romantic sort of pose and color scheme.
Rosslyn is just such a hoot.
So yeah it's a difficult week as the shots I believe are coming to an end (I hope). I'm finding it difficult to give the injections to the right side of my belly. It's very strange how much more it hurts on that side.
I told one of the supervisors that I might be out for a couple of days, but I really don't want a bunch of people to know what's going on because I don't want to deal with them if it doesn't work.
So sleepy... maybe this front that's coming through will actually dump some real rain on us?! That would make this sleepy wonky state totally worth it. If I had a full blown headache I'd know for sure there was rain coming...
...I have left over Pei Wei in the fridge, is it wrong to want it now at 8 am? At least the crazy cholocate craving of last week past.

What can you do....?
Things have been a bit crazy this week. I started taking my shots so I'm queasy and very tired all day long. But I think I've gotten used to it a bit in that I'm not light headed today which is very good.
I go back tomorrow morning to see how things are progressing. Good thing I'm off from work because Office Gossip has me as very ill with something very bad like cancer. Yep, I'm shocked they went that far but not surprised I'm the subject of gossip.
Sheesh people. And do they come and ask me if I'm okay? No they go and try and pump info out of Theresa.
I did tell Romona, as a female supervisor I told her just enough so she knew I was fine but yeah lots of visits to the doctor in the coming weeks/months. That's the one good thing about a male supervisor... all you have to say is "It's female stuff" and they just glaze over.
Saturday was the Bachelorette party... and what happens at Bachelorette stays at Bachelorette. I will say I didn't last the whole night, I got sick because I am a supreme light weight and I'm okay with that.
There are some loud and crazy people in that group and two are the Bride's Aunts who kept referring to themselves as "Cougars" which really makes my skin crawl. Seriously, if you need to say it you obvs aren't one.
Rest of the time I've either been at work or spending time with the visiting kiddos. We all went to Tex-Mex last night and witnessed JP in a moment of I don't know what, pop a chili pepper in his mouth and start to cry. Said chili pepper is still causing him heartburn this morning.
I'm so very tired this morning... he said the drugs would make me feel like when it's that time of the month and he wasn't kidding... ugh.
Okay I have to work up enough nerve to call this owner. I don't think it'll get ugly but so many of them have these last few weeks. It's amazing what people think they can say to you. I'm not in the mood to yell back... I'll probably just hang up on her if it goes downhill. Fun.
